Well.
I don't have much time on my puter any more. Almost none at 'tall. And none of that time is really been playing brainbread.
I've had to reinstall my computer's OS once, and lost all my BB old skool maps and skins. Which sucks. Also I was secretly working on a BB Source alternative called Infection!

All my progress had been uterlly f*cking lost because i also wiped my hardrive not remembering my brainbread stuff.

Anyway; I thought "Oh. Well I'll just go and reget them off of the User Created on the Forums."

Wrong.

I go to the usermaps section and there in absolutely nothing left there.
It seems that if a topic is inactive with not enough posts for a long enough period of time; then it disappears from the face of the boards.


No one can deny that the Brainbread community has slowly dwindled down a great deal since it's realease in 2004.

only 1/6 of the original player force has stuck to the game; and the ironoak staff seems void of any activity with no news as a release of the much eagerly anticipated v1.3

The homepage might go 4 months without getting a new update.

Anyway. What i really want to say; other than being utterly dissapointed that one of the Best freakin' mods for Half-Life hasn't made any progress. But that the forums are decaying due to their own inactivity.

All of the topics are dissapearing cause no one's replying or posting. Some of the forums that flourished during the v1.1 days now only have 3-4 topics in them.


I say; that since the forums remain so inactive that the times in which topics are removed be increased drastically.

And the Custom User Created forum have no such disappear rate; because it is supposed to be a plethora/archive of usercreated skins and models and maps.

Alot of Civilian Soldier's older works are now void' from the boards.





Please right this. Information shouldn't dissapear off the face of the earth like it has been.

You may have missed it, but the Ironoak Team's host for their website and forums crashed awhile ago. This erased a lot of the data on the forums. Thats why a few sections of the forum are almost devoid of topics.

The topics aren't lost. Just below the last topic you see "Showing 10 of 10 topics sorted by" then in the third field you can set the time cutoff. Just set "from" to "the beginning"...

Also keep in mind that HL1 is dying... which is the reason for the lack of BB development... and don't forget that IronOak spends most of its time for the new commercial fps project! We expect first screens in a few weeks.
Btw.: there's a fan project to port BB to Source, perhaps you could join their team. They have our permission to use BB-Stuff and if their beta is really good we may talk about developing BB:S.... we'll see...
