Hey guys i need help i have installed brainbread it works fine but when i click multiplayer and then internet game it says would you like to download the updates?
i say yes and then it says error we could not locate the updates to run. please help me  |

Strange problem, I'll try to help. Ok, first off, are you using Steam? And is your version of Half Life legit and up to date. If you are using Steam, Half Life should be auto updated if you have it. Are you also playing the latest of Brainbread? (1.2) You could also try downloading BB from another mirror and reinstall. |

He is trying to run off of WON. I had this problem when I went on vacation while WON was still up, and when I came back and tried to play CS It asked the exact same question. You must have steam to run brain bread. What you have to do is download steam off of www.steampowered.com, get an account (its free) put in your CD key into steam, it will register into steam. After that try to install brainbread again, and it should be fine.
If you have steam, and you get this error, then it may be a lot worse, or a lot smaller, dunno. -bacon333 |

People are still trying WON? Or maybe he just unknowingly used the retail Half Life 1 and then installed Brainbread. If its the first then we need a loudspeaker and yell "WON IS DEAD. SWITCH TO STEAM". |

Yeah, I dont know why valve didnt put something in those games to say that WON is no longer in operation please switch to steam or something like that... I miss Won for some reason...

so i have to add my legit copy of half life to steam if so then crap cause i cant remember my old acount and i put my serial number on that account ive asked the people of vavle if i can retreive it but so far no reply and i already gaem them a picture of it so is there any other way of puttin it one there? other then buying another copy cause thats justa waste of my money

Ok, this is what I got from that garble. You are missing your Half Life 1 CD Key? That's what you need to register it on Steam. |

i know but i have the cd key its just that i put it on another account and i cant remember it is there any other way of getting it back?
