Do you need to have the actually half life, or any game that uses h;.exe such as Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike Condition Zero

Yes you need a working copy of the orginal Half Life.
Unlike CS retail which works by itself, every other mod needs Half Life to run. The simple reason behind this is, all mods are "MODifications" to the HL code. Or something like that. |
