I think it would be cool when there using riot clubs in those zombies. Like the metroCops in Half-Life 2, there using stunstick and equip with cooler gear, just enough to defend anything, expept Gordon and Alyx. I think a tank will be too big for this map. Besides, you wouldnt need any cops or soldiers if you have a tank. Hell, you dont even need players. Tanks are overkill, no matter how many zombies or Freds you have, because tanks are invincible. |

Then put some sentryguns and put it somewhere the zombies can posibly reach you.

Tanks Are good for overrun maps, and there are just too many zombies for a player or ai to take care of. As long as the tank moves and doesn't stay in the same area for too long it's fine imo.
And I'm not sure you can make turrets in hammer to attack just AI, I may be wrong, but that is what I remember. But you can have mountable ones =p. This post has been edited by Neiko on August 16, 2006 11:07 pm -------------------- |

Tanks are still overkill. One shot and a street chock full of zombies is now desolate. Theres no challange when theres a tank. Besides, its more intense when there is no tank. Fight for your life! |

And like I said, keep the tank MOVING, and make the waypoints FAR, so the streets have PLENTY of time to replenish themselves about 10x before the tank comes back. -------------------- |

Well, I've been working more on it.. and.. I don't think I'll add a tank anytime soon... or turrets.. This is just sheer civilians Vs Zombies. The military doesn't even know about this attack yet.. well thats what I was planning. Erg.. Im having a slight error aswell.. I keep getting this.

Tanks are suck. Keep it moving works, but keep it moving where? This map is pretty small already, the tank really has no where to go, unless you want it to drive circles around the open area in the middle. |

I didn't say use it on this map... I was just stating about how they should be used...
And there are millions and millions of ways to get that error =x. Also, when you are doing a final compile, don't do fast. It has a good chance of eating up fps. (Try googling the error and see if any are what you have) -------------------- |

I've googled.. I've asked people in different servers...
No one says they have ever gotton that answer... Sigh, should I just reinstall hammer? Please.. the map is almost finished... I just need the compiling process to work -------------------- -Endlessly?-

Try emailing it to someone, let that someone compile it for you, then that someone should email the compiled map back to you. Obviously, make sure its someone you trust. |

well. I gave up... forget it... It's done. Hammer won't compile. and when I tried to compile after I reinstalled it. It gave me the same error. then gave another error "Map is unavaible" and when I looked... all my maps were deleted out of my 2 folders. Both of them weren't in the hammer folder when I uninstalled it. they were on my desktop. So.. I give up
