Most people dont have an onboard video card when they are playing brain bread. Since there are so many npcs, (the zombies) it does take a lot of ram. Problem is, the video card also needs some ram, but theres none left, so it lags. Oh, and brain bread is probably the most demanding Half-life mod there is. (probably game too for half-life)

Now I wouldn't exactly say that. Public Enemy is graphic intensive too, it had Bloom you know. What makes BB crazy is its large ass amounts of NPCs on screen at once. There are few mods out there that push Half Life 1 to its limits too, I cant remember right now though.

Yes, but, since brainbread has so many npcs, I believe it uses quite a bit of ram. Since the video card is using shared memory (with the motherboard ram) the system hogs the ram, and the video card cant get enough without lagging. Thats my theory.

it dosnt realy matter now im buying a new computer 2gb ddr ram ,200gb hard drive, amd athlon 3800 ati graphics card soo ill be fine soon but my point is that intel extreme graphics with a decent 512mb ram and 1mb internet connection shouldnt make much of bb so the npc's i know are f*** loads of them shouldnt trouble it that much it makes the game unplayable + it isnt 100% all maps its like 80% e.g BB_Nighthouse does not lag for me but heavens gate does i am sure nighthouse is alot smaller maps but alot more filled with zombies... abit strange isnt it... i can play i think 4maps no lag and resta ll lag.
