Again, you're not getting what I'm trying to say here. Is it so hard? I like stem cell research. I like technology. I like advancement. Problem is that many people here are complacent. Sure, it's easy for you to say not to vote for him. Ok. Let's say NO one votes for conservative people like that. It still doesn't make a difference. If a Republican candidate wants to ban stem cell research, then by God he's going to ban it even IF all the regular population of America disagree. The only way we could stop a candidate like that is to SOMEHOW directly influece the delegates and officials from the electoral college that ARE the deciding factor in the vote. The United States is a Federal Republic. Do you see the word Democracy in there? No! We're not as democratic as people would like to think. We might be on the lower levels of government, but in the Executive branch it ain't worth nothing. |

thats only if you look via a shallow view. In the long run by voting for local people and telling them who to vote for, we push the electoral vote in our favor. Most people don't see this when they vote for senetors and keep re-electing the same morons that don't vote for their interests

Posting this part again just in case anyone missed it. The view isn't shallow if it's true. I've no room to "view" greater beyond the obvious because the chances of American citizens voting for people that add to the bigger picture is extremely unlikely. Not many people here know how the system even works. |

then you enlighten them. Just because your community is a large sheepish group lusting to be dominated by corporate america, does not mean that with the correct influences and instruction they cannot become good helpful citizens; with voting prowess and the ability to never get somone as stupid as bush in office again.

I'm going to throw my support for a large scale Communist uprising. The USSR may have failed, but a Communist United States will be a deadly force to be reckoned with. Anyway, I've geeked out about that enough, now back to the way real life works.  |

Umm, have you ever lived in communist country to talk about it? I guess not. Communism was pretty decent, at least thats what my grandfather says. Stalin could've had a chance of doing what?
