I thought of this while writing my story for the story forum... no one comments on it so ive decided just to finish it off for my own sake and not post anymore. well anyway if your in prison or jail in a cell could a zombie really get to you? i mean those bars are not going to be opened by a weak undead guy anytime soon so how could they get to you? You wouldnt be in any better a situation really because eventually youd starve to death but you wouldnt turn into a zombie...

edit: now that i think about it there are quite a bit of places where youd be safe from zombies... pretty much anywhere that you can lock and that doesnt have windows... youd just end up starving to death...

I'd say they'd penetrate the bars by teamwork.
They're so hungry for your flesh they'd do anything they can to get to you.
Unless they get very bored and wander around your cell.

So probably no way out.

No they really couldnt get to you, bloody steel bars are to keep the cons in. They are too strong. The thing is your constantly been stared at and reached for by the zombies outside, it would drive you insane and the constant moaning. Unless you could do a prison break style escape you should be ok lol

yeah but u gotta take in the fact that most prison has buttons that opens the doors, so lets say the zombies come into that button room , and accidentaly opens up all the cages.


well actually if there were a zombie crisis in a prison id wager there would be a evacuation where they would open all the cages,,,

nah... if i were a security guard at a prison and there was a zombie outbreak id get the hell out of there forget the damn prisoners its every man for himself

First of all, how does a zombie get in a prison? Erm secure place and everything designed for keeping people in and keeping people from getting in.

i dont know someone left the front gate open?

either that or a infected con gets in ,,,

where asthe con got infected ( on the way to become zomb at the way )

edit: due to a little faulty explanation and the use of big words,

the con gets infected before going to prison.
the con turns into a zomb during the fresh air time and starts biting people.
those bitten are taken to the hospital part of the prison and starts infecting from there too

and BAM you got a prison filed to brim with zombies... only ones that survive are those in the death penalty cells, the cells that are all door,,, ( if you have sen prison break then the type of cell that lincoln burrows is in during season 1 )

I love that show! and yes what your saying makes sense... but it would require an extemely large amount of time after you were bitten before you turned into a zombie... id even say so long that it would give people enough time to control the zombie outbreak and stop the whole thing from happening... half the idea of a zombie outbreak is that it has to come suddenly and spread like wild fire... otherwise it can easily be controled

Following off what Gordon said, it usually only takes several hours for a bite to turn someone. This theory is based off the majority of zombie movies. Also, the prison can't contain something they don't know about. Yeah, like the government is going to tell them "Dude, there's a zombie infection, watch out." They won't know what the hell is happening.

But I'm not saying it's going to be filled to the brim in like a day. It'll take some time. There will probably be a first outbreak, but if the prison is secure enough, the guards and the riot police station in the prison should be able to contain it to only a few sections of the prison. From there however, many scenarios can break out.

One, they can evacuate the uninfected and lock down the prison and keep the zombies inside. They can then phone the military, whom will send a clean up crew. The situation ends well.

Or there can be a mishap. Somewhere, someone is going to make the mistake of opening a door that was keep zombies in a certain sector, or zombies from another secure area somehow break out. If this happens during evacuation, all hell will break loose and it'll be every person for themselves. People will be bitten from all over, and the guards will be overwhelmed by the prisoners trying to get the hell out. When the situation gets out of hand, the guys in the control room will lock the prison down, trapping everyone inside. The infection is contained, but the situation is really bad for those still alive inside.

They should make a zombie game out of the second situation. Better yet, the mappers in BB:S can make a map out of that scenario.

actually that would be a really cool map... itd be hard as hell though...

There was the prison map for bb if anyone can remember that.

really? i dont think ive ever played that map...
