what is with everyone and this buying thing?! the worlds coming to an end! they arent going to say "sorry the worlds coming to an end but i cant let you have a gun to defend yourself because you dont have enough money" though they might say something more like "Im not giving you any of my guns! i wanna live to!" really money has no value when the world is coming to an end! -------------------- When He opened the fourth seal I heard the voice of the fourth living being say, "Come!" i never said id buy i said id pillage (and id use the tank as a weapon but they dont sell ammo for the model i have anymore mate) and sc the base would be heavily gaurded and i am laughing my arse off at imagining Officer McClung getting eaten by a zombie

Damn keyes i live up in leeds which is basically the top of the uk almost lol. I could go to the helicopter school which is quite a bit away from my house, i shall commandeer a lotus elise or something and zoom up there! Then come down and pick you up, god knows where we would go somewhere secluded.

in an attempt to rerail this thread, cock slap tanker, and calm mallic the fuck down (dude take some prozac or smoke a jay) here's my 2 peneth worth...
Frohman is essentially right. You can barricade yourself in your house, or the mall (shopping centre) or where ever else you want to. So long as defences are sturdy and you keep a low profile (ie don't attract alot of attention) you should be fine, so long as your food and water holds out. You shouldn't even need guns at this point. However this requires that someone, possibly the government, come to rescue you. If the epidemic is of biblical proportions (ie end of the world) then you might be waiting a while for help to arrive. Then your trapped and your fortress is suddenlly looking a little more like a tomb. You can starve to death, or die of thirst inside of a week once your food and water are gone. Going right back to the start of this whole mess, you could try to escape, in the case of Rage Zombies this aint such a good idea, but if we're talking romereo's deadheads then you might be able to pull it off. The idea would be to travel light. Don't get bogged down, remember once you're out of population centres like towns cities, speed is a major advantage on your side, you're much faster than they are and can get out of their way. Carry only what you need, warm clothing, food, simple, light weapon (axe, baseball bat, spade, etc). Maybe take a sleeping bag with you as well. If you can do this and do it early and get out of the city, you MIGHT be able to survive, get together with some friends or other survivors and stick together. There is safety in numbers. Get well out into the middle of nowhere, somewhere were there are very few people. Then you can start to raid small towns or whatever for supplies and equipment. Vehicles will be of limited use due to the lack of fuel for them, but if you find a mountain bike or know how to ride a horse (something i learnt to do a few years ago) then you can use these as alternate methods of transport. It'll be a tough life tbh. Full of worry, stress, starvation, exhaustion, sleep deprivation and maybe loneliness. But its a choice between that or being trapped like a rat in a hole. its your choice  -------------------- ...and they will show you how, to make the future look a bit victorian aged and how to spread your geekness, proudly, not ashamed...

while that works and all im going to point our a few problems with it...
1. if its of biblical proportions then i dont really care where you go your going to be killed sooner or later... 2. while traveling light is the way to go, your examples of weapons arent the best... though if im correct you live in Britain or somewhere like that where gun laws are a little extreme? i would suggest (for thoughs who can get their hands on guns) a pistol or submachine gun... shotguns are acceptable but pump shotguns may not be the best if you're surrounded and have little experience with guns... also carry a back up weapon such as what Lundquist suggested (axe, baseball bat, spade, etc.) spade or axe being the best since they an serve other purposes besides just being melee weapons 3. STAY AWAY FROM HORSES! whos to say they arent infected... if your going to try a horse you damn well better be absolutely positive that thing isnt the living dead... which may be difficult if they are like the infected in 28 days later -------------------- When He opened the fourth seal I heard the voice of the fourth living being say, "Come!"
