that reminds me,
during fall last year there was like a blue-greenish light flashing going slowly from one point on the sky to another , from east to west. the whole " state " where i live in had seen the light as it went by, its like " WTF " im not saying that its a UFO , but the possibility is there , no shooting star would have that light and even last that long. -------------------- |

yeah but this was slow like fuck , and it went from one place in the "state" to another,
if it was a shooting star then it wouldnt be that slow and it wouldnt last that long -------------------- |

... now ufo i definetly dont believe in... though i believe life on other planets is completely possible... i mean give mars looks like its about to go through the same evolutionary process earth went through... give it a couple of hundred billion years and it may very well have living creatures thriving on it...

So, really I'm sorry to say but I'm a little bit lazy to read long posts..
I'll just start this off with my ghastly experience. Well, actually it always happens. I see a flash of a light string, but I think its just me, since my imagination is wild. I have a feeling I have 6th sense but I think I'm creating that myself. Though I did have one experience. When we moved into this house, it wasn't blessed yet. I was alone in meh bro's room, just in the internet when suddenly I heard a raspy voice, but not oh so loud. I got freaked out, and rushed out of his room. The light turned off by itself in there. I rushed myself into the bathroom then went inside my room, all scared. I took my cd player and sinked my fright with music, while the lights were on. I was hiding in my blanket.  Gawd I got so scared. It never happened after that for a while, and until this house has been blessed. -------------------- Current game(s): Uh uh not updatin' this no mo

im explaining peoples experiences using science... im trying to prove a point that every wierd thing that happens in the world isnt because of ghosts... im showing my opinions you dont have to believe them...

Something you should bare in mind tanker is that no matter how you look at it, science can't begin to explain some of these phenomenon and even when it can there is often only conjecture or flimsy proof with little in the way of hard scientific fact to back it up.
In alot of cases it really is a case of flip a coin and if it lands heads up then science is right, otherwise if it lands tails up the occultists are right. You cannot in good concience wander around calling anyone who does not hol sway with your opinions wrong. There is no wrong opinion. The fact is that for almost any UFO sighting, ghost story, miracle or whatever there is a possible scientific explanation or theory just like there are many explanations and theories for the Kenedy assination (to pick a famous event at random). Problem is there is so little proof on the subject about that you'll never know the complete truth. We are all well aware of your opinions and beliefs in this matter (you've made them abundantly clear), so why not encourage discussion on the subject, instead of calling everyone names, it makes you sound like a 5 year old. -------------------- ...and they will show you how, to make the future look a bit victorian aged and how to spread your geekness, proudly, not ashamed...

also to go along with your arguement yes you are right science cant explain everything... yet.... but come on... you cant expect me to believe that after you die you become a ghost and wonder around looking for revenge or something like that... plus the fact that you all believe in ghosts happens to support my real theory... people who believe in ghosts are more likely to "see a ghost" then someone who doesnt... this is because people who believe in ghosts have more desire to see ghosts and therefore you mind brings it to you... its called the law of attraction... this explains thousands of ghost sightings around the world including those caught on camera... the law of attraction brings you what you want by simply wanting it... like gordon frohman and the UFO sighting... your mind physically made that light appear simply because you wanted to prove your friends wrong... of course your mind cant make things out of thin air but it can make whatever phenomenon caused the light to come to you... and this isnt some made up shit its an actual truth in the world... when you think about things they come to you, most the time over an extended period of time... whether you want them or not... meaning if you worry about your car being stolen the law of attraction will in a way make it so that your car is stolen... but if you want a new car over a long period of time the law of attraction will bring you that car of course you have to be really into getting that car... dont believe me? then watch a documentry called "the secret" its a fact... so basicly what im saying is because you believe in ghosts whatever phenomenon that is happening to make you see the ghost is happening simply because you want to see the ghost... get it? also this works against me because it could very well be bringing the ghost to you... of course this doesnt explain everything but its enough for me. Well done tanker, that was a well thought out and calmly reasoned argument
 I like it. However the condition (law of attraction) you describe is not a scientific one, is part psychological and part probability mathematics.The idea is that if you keep one thought in your head for long enough it will start to affect your descision making processes in very slight and subtle ways. Your brain without you conciouslessly realising it, will manuever you down 'paths' and into situations that it thinks are statistically more likely to bring this thought into reality. I'm really read up on this though, apart from the basics as it seemed like common sense to me, you want something, you go get it. However the other side of this has a very special name in England, Sods Law. Have you ever had something happen to you and you've though/said "oh fucking hell, i KNEW that was going to happen', that is Sods Law in action. However this goes nowhere to proving or disproving the 'Do Ghosts Exist?' question, all it says is that people who don't beleive are less likely to see ghosts (and when they do, less likely to believe it) and visa versa. Theres some psychological/philosophical concept that says something like the Mind tells us what we see around us, but we tell our mind how to interpret it. So you've got 2 people looking at the same thing, Person A says 'Thats a Ghost' and Person B says 'thats a wisp of smoke'. By doing this each person, when faced with some similar view/experience, will be more likely to see whatever this view/experience is as the same thing they've been telling thier brain they've seen before. Alright, this is what I think:
Lets say you are walking down a hallway... You see something in the corner of your eye (And its really nothing at all)... You start to think that there are ghosts around, so your mind will believe it to. You start to think that everything around, may have something to do with a ghost, but in reality, its all just nothing. |

I don't expect anything to think that after we die we roam the earth getting revenge. I see it as we either go to Heaven or Hell. And sometimes we get lost on the way up or down. And because they never made it to Heaven or Hell, they are still here, wandering, either trying to find their way, or trying to be asshats.
