well think about it this way, we plan on fixing all the bugs we find before beta, so hopefully there won´t be that many bugs found in beta which should drastically reduce the time before beta release and public release.

The development cycles goes something like this.
Developer version -> Internal Alpha -> Closed Beta -> Open Beta -> RC1 We are currently in Internal Alpha stage. What this means is that we have a standard version of the code, model, etc. We are working in all the new features, weapons, models, etc. After all the major work is done and it at least works, we'll be sending it out to the beta testers. All the major testing gets done in this stage, we'll be getting fornightly bug reports from the beta testers and we'll be fixing whatever they find. Once all the major bugs (a major bug is anything that crashes the game, or makes it unplayable) we'll releasing a public beta and we'll fix any small bugs that remain. Then the final Release Client comes out which will be BBS v1 Hope that explains everything  -------------------- ...and they will show you how, to make the future look a bit victorian aged and how to spread your geekness, proudly, not ashamed...
