my friend has hl1 and he wants to know if u have to buy it to play its mods like BB sven co-op etc, its all downloaded but not bought pre-loaded somone help me.

you kinda need to have HL1 registred on that steam account for mods for that game to works ^^'
meaning if he has HL1 on the steam account regged,, then the mods should theoreticaly work ( sp ? ) -------------------- |

yh but its installed just pre-loaded not paid for, so shouldnt it still work because the files are all there?

micky it all depends... because the game might not respond if the game aint paid for... you need hl1 in " my games " list i think... -------------------- |

No, it wont work, and no the files arent activated.
They arent even there. The bare bone files are. But if you notice when you preload things, you still end up having to wait a while to actually play it because of "updates" Thats downloading and installing it. So no it wont work, it has to be registered, paid for and bought for any mods to work. -------------------- -=U.N.C.L.E=- David
