DON'T I repeat DON'T get the 2x 7300 GTs. Really. They will be next to useless.

Instead, for that money you can get a top-end 7600GT.

Though it may seem a good idea to have 1024MB of memory for graphics, the 7600GT will out-perform two 7300GTs in any benchmark you care to undertake, though sheer processing power. Yes, the two 7300s have a combined higher clock rate, but you cannot compare two cards to one in this way.

You'll end up having an over-specced, under-powered graphics setup that really won't stand up to much.

Sorry for the rant, but please do not buy those cards!

Other than that, all good parts - although I can't seem to remember Intel releasing a Pentium D dual-core.

Any may I ask what currency that figure is in?

Right splash out for the graphics card , that 7300 is next to useless! Also if you can go for dual cores.

Everything is looking good, although I suggest you get like 4 gigs of RAM just for the hell of it. It'll be better for your computer in the end. Yeah sorry for getting mixed up with that Pentium D and Pentium 4 thing. Jumbles man, they suck.

About the 7300's though, I have to agree with everyone else. It's better to get one maxed out 7800 or something than two lower power cards.

Um, I don't know... dollars?

In that case, that's equivalent to around £310

For that money, if you only buy the "insides" you could be looking at roughly:

low-mid range graphics (7600gt 256mb)
mid range processor (amd X2 5000+/5200+)
Large hard drive, I suppose about 300-400 GB
2GB of RAM.

I would recommend purchasing 4GB of RAM if you can, but don't skimp on the quality of it. you should aim for 2GB 800MHZ or above rather than 4GB 533/667MHZ, as in my experience in gaming, the faster RAM comes out top.

make sure that you buy exactly the same brand and mhz on ram sticks, that way you can take propper advantage of "Dual Channel".

Example:

2 sticks of 1 gig Kingston DDR2 800 = 2 physical gigs of ram, 4 pageable by the computer ; )

Good man, kingston is the way to go.

Also, don't buy a pc with upgrades already in mind.

It will really really save you money and time if you buy hardware at decent specs now, rather than average specs with a view to upgrade in 2 months.

Make sure you don't buy the 2 x 7300s, mate! I would really hate for you to learn the hard way that they are simply not a good pair of cards!

Yes they have more memory, but, as I have posted before, they will not stand a chance against a 7600. I have only 320MB on my card, and I don't even use 75% of it on large texture games such as Battlefield 2 or F.E.A.R. at high resolution.

Of course, it's entirely your choice, but you should be sure of what you want before you buy it.
