I agree... I think stunts of some kind would make the repetative fights a lot more exciting and unique. Maybe you can only access certain moves depending on what cybernetic implants you have? Quick example: if you have cyber legs, you can do a lomgjump move.

other cyber attributes...

*cybernetic eyes - basically like other people said.. zoom in and infrared vision
*cyber arms/spine - heh what do you think about being able to pick up the hover cars and tossing them around? Shouldn't be too hard to code, either, unless the cars are part of the actual map.

@All: Please don´t repeat other ideas. If you´ve a similar idea plz discuss about it.

@PsiStalker: Because HL hasn´t a real physic-engine it´s VERY HARD to code that you´ll be able to throw cars. ^^ Nice idea, but i think Spin won´t have the time to code it. Another problem would be the clipboxes of the cars. We´re not able to move them, so we would have to recompile/recode everything. ^^

Make the knife for futuristic.... I was looking at someones pictures of a knife that was supposed to be for NS, looked extremely cool. I think the artists name was Rameus or Ramius. He had a whole site of NS pics.

More moved stuff, this time fro the constructive criticism thread, and some new. But first a note: there is an entire tread for cyberware and one for weapon balance. Keep taht stuff in there, and try and reserve this thread for stuff that doesn't fit the other threads. Now:

1) On the dirty buisness maps, you can toss the case inside walls. It can still be retrived, but you have to use your radar and search the walls to find it. Not good.
2) The duck toggle and walk toggle commands don't work.
3) I don't like the fact that your credits are reset after each death. There shoud certianly be a penality, but even the best die eventually, and watching 8 hard fought creits go up in smoke hurts. Perhaps you could simpily have a one or two credit penality instead.
4) Speaking of credits, the entirer team should get something if they win the round. Sometimes you have to take one for the team. If I die because I put my body between the hacker and the bullets, I think I should get something out of it.
5) The rate of fire of assault rifle bursts is friggin insane.
6) Give the terminals more descriptive names. "Terminal 1" doesn't tell you a ting unless you've played that particular map a bit. Would help reduce learning curve.
7) Radar screen needs to be bigger (think: double), so it is easier to see. Better yet, make it a client side variable.
8) Tied with the above: add an indicator to the radar to tell if a contact is above or below you. This would help TONS when trying to track down a lost case or hacktool.

New comments now:
KaMpFNuDeL: I like the idea, but your knowlede of ammo types is pretty bad. Full metal jacket (FMJ) ammo is standard ammo, so the ammo mods would be based off it. Wood rounds would have an ugly tendancy to tear apart before they exited the barrel. The round you want is called a jacketed hollow point (JHP) aka DumDum rounds. They don't penetrate armor much, but they do the most damage to soft tissue. "Tank Breaking" ammo would just be standard armor peircing (AP) ammo (or armor peircing, discarding sabot (APDS) ammo if you want to go high tech). It goes through armor and other obstructions very well, but tends to cut through tissue without doing as much damage. An easier way to code it would be: normal round does 60% damage to armor and 40% to health. If no armor is present, it does 100% damage to health. JHP ammo would do 70% damage to armor if present, and only 5% to health. If no armor is present, it does 135% damage to health. AP ammo does 115% damage to armor and 20% to health if armor is present. If no armor is present, it does 50% damage to health.

Employee2-4601: I think night vision should stay just night vision, and leave the see-through walls stuff to other equipent or cybernetics. But for other equipment or cybernetics, it would be quite cool. And while kevelar is only effective a gainst handgun bullets, if you combine it with a metal or ceramic rifle plate (as Class III and better vests are made now) it can stop .30-06 AP ammo.

[PE]MadMax_FMM: Of couse your not gods, we owe you for having a mod to play at all. And when I post ideas I do so with no expectations; its your mod, so if you don't like an idea or can't do it, no one has any right to complain. If they don't like it, they can go out, work their asses off like you did, and make their own damn mod.

Stunts might be cool, but I suggest keeping them low key unless their cyber related.

The knife looks fine. Unlike natural selection, PE doesn't have nanotech and such. Besides, the design of combat knives has changed very little over the past 700 or so years, I see no major changes in the next 40. smile.gif

the only thing that would change bladetech would be if you could manipulate the edge on the atomic level (read monomonecular edge)

hmm, diffrent ammo, soulds cool but then they should be selectable on a weapon to weapon basis, like say having a menu at the bottom of the weapon menus that select ammo for that group of weapon. one for sidearm, one for main guns (working so that you can click with left for one gun and right for another) and maybe a special one for shotguns (either spread or slug cool.gif )

hmm, with the ability to save configs one should allmost have a targetpractice map where onecould run around testing setups cool.gif

I think NV should make players light up a yellow-red color, like thermal goggles. Also bullet types sound cool, but will they cost credits? And what about akimbo weaps? do you get to pick 2?

Possibly add more H2H weapons
For the AK-47, secondary should let you hold it sideways, so the recoil spreads horizontally (resulting in a nice spray)
Possibly replace the .357 Desert Eagle with the .440 DEagle, add in the Lone Eagle (sniper pistol)
***The option to choose your player model
A heavy machinegun - M60 or M249 would be nice
Some different SMGs, such as the FN-P90 (Perhaps you could add in the Pistol that uses the S990 bullets, too. They're killer)
A scope-interface for the second zoom on the Stoner
A heavy sniper rifle, like a Barret M82 (I think that's the AMR)
I was thinking an old-style 10-gauge double barrel break-loader shotgun would be good, too. The ROF would make up for the insane damage potential.

It'd be nice if there was some item that cost 1 point, cause with some of the configs I use, i have one extra lying around :/
Also, do certain weapons shoot through walls? if not, I think some of the rifles shoudl be considered for that.
For the sniper rifle, It'd be nice to have a scope sprite, with a dot in the middle, for easier aiming

EDIT: Overviews for maps would be nice, too, if it's posisble, since they're kinda large and can be confusing at first

Yup, a 1 cred item would be cool, like a polymer 1 shot. Basicly a cheap gun that fired if you were lucky tongue.gif I think it might be fun to use a single shot (reloadable) gun or one that had a chance of backfiring. blink.gif
