Right now, I am typing up a reprt on gay marriage, debating against an article that states how marriage between people of the same-sex ruins the institution of marriage, marriage was made by God, and so on. So, I was just curious of people's stances on this subject with reasons why they feel this way WITHOUT FLAMING.

I will be keeping an eye on this topic to keep things under control
 Personally, I don't see what the big deal is. If gay people want to show their love for one another, they should feel free to do so without someone telling them they're going to Hell for it. How would they know? --------------------  |

It seems that these days people seem to be agreeing more and more for gay marriage. However, the original definition for marriage was a permanent relationship between a man and a woman, and not a man and a man (or woman and woman).
Anyway, It seems extremely unnatural for sexual contact between same sex's, simply because it is impossible for two of the same sex's to conceive a baby. I personally feel that the world is becoming more and more liberal. Yeah, this could be a good thing in some ways, but not in all ways. The world functioned perfectly in the past, and these days it seems to be falling apart. Quickly. EDIT: Who knows Chris. Perhaps the "g-spot" is there to ease the pain when you are constipated. However, by definition, marriage was a contract in which the wife was the man's legal property, marriage used to only be between two people of the same race, and so on. Original doesn't always mean better.
EDIT: And just to add, people are fucking like rabbits as it is, so you don't have to worry about the baby issue. And two women "can" conceive a baby...they just need the sperm from a friend. I can see that this is going to turn into a major flame war really soon.
EDIT: "borring the semen from a friend" does not work, simply because the baby is not the other woman's. They can't conceive a baby, no matter how you put it. EDIT again: Since the world is now far more liberal than in the past, over-population is starting to seriously occur, even though people don't really notice it. I can be completely civil, I'm just a wee-bit to sarcastic and I apologize for it.
Oh I noticed that, which is why child-rearing shouldn't be too much of an issue. Yes, procreating does indeed occur without marriage. However, as a human species - might I add, an intelligent species, marriage should be required due to our intelligence. We have created a society in which there is no predator to kill the human species, and we can eat a lot more food than pretty much every other species (as far as I know). Now, because of this, I believe that marriage should be required to kind of control the amount of procreating we do.

As I see it, let the homosexuals marry, and if a Church wants to discriminate, fine...they could always go to a court house. Not like marriage was created by the Abrahamic religions.

Like I said, there is nothing wrong with homosexuals. But marriage is not for them and that was already set in our history. Perhaps a new type of marriage could be created for them in which they could marry but which isn't under god but under their love?

Whats the difference does it make if they just live together or are also registrated as pair and share the property together and other things the same as normal pairs? I don't see why changing traditions would be a bad idea sticking to an old concept because its what we did in past is stupid and theres can't be no progress with it. Marriage in general is pretty usless, people get bored from each other fast and I don't see the point of living whole life with just one person.
