From what I was told in college years back it was used to protect trains that was travelling miles and miles in WW2 to deliver important "packages". Although, Luciel is right. It would seem pretty useless unless their was actually a target oncoming in it's direction or a target in it's general direction.

Well what always seemed apparent to me was the legs were actually rested upon two carriages. Seems it was being transported and so it was some sort of mobile mechanical weapon which couldn't "walk" too far.

and btw Luciel It was used to help transport precious cargo, and also whenever teh Hit-meister (Hitler) was on a train they used it there was generally one facing forward and another facing back, one at front of train one at back -------------------- -=U.N.C.L.E=- David

Moveable and supposedly flexible artillery with better range. The rails do, however, remain impracticle. However, if you do not care for impracticality and just want pure awesome, my mod weapon would be the American tested nuclear artillery gun:  That shit is just nasty. |

I hope it was just a test and not an actual production army armour vehicle, i don´t think any country should be allowed to have something like that, specially though, england, imagine a chav braking in for a joyride? damm... xD
