New PC Rig, Need Help...

So whic one do you recommend since i cant find the standard M2A-VM

And hunter, it´s not about the memory, it´s about the core and frequency it´s got for the money it costs, it wil run anything you throw at it.

Well since the 512 one is quite expensive and i cant find your galaxy one then 256 is the next best thing.

ok just bought the mobo, graphics card and psu

now im jus abit bothered bout the processor its only a 2.1... :S, i seen another on ebuyer like 2 pound more n its a 2.4

should i get that?

Doom Trooper Group: Moderators Posts: 1070 Joined: August 18, 2005	no, the 2.4 version is single core, the 2.1 is X2 dual core, and very overclockable, with dual cores you must pretty much ignore the ghz rating as it´s in no way comparable to single core cpus.

, but my processor came in a wee tiny boy with padding so it doesn't have a heatsink

can you reccomend a good fan for it?

well got the mobo now thank fuck... UPS charged me for importing and brokers surchange came to fucking 23 pound bunch a cunts!

aye so am no waiting for my graphics card hopefully it'll come tomorrow

while we wait can you take me threw how to overclock this so i can do it stright away when i get it up and running

ok somethigns wrong with my pwoer supply it was working fine until i flicked this switch on the inside of the pwoer supply now it doesnt even power up any more...

have a broken it?

why would you flick the voltage switch? if that´s what you´ve done, yeah, chances are you burned it, try disconnecting it from everything for an hour or so, (flicking it back to 240w before that is) and then try again, you might get lucky, it´s meant so if you go to the us where the voltage is diff if i´m not wrong, and first let´s get it togueter, all drivers installed, temperatures monitores, and then i´ll tell you how to overclock it k?

oh dear..... guess ill jus have to buy another one, lucky ive got a 300watt PSU lying around, js testing out the mobo and things seems to be working fine
