Luciel´s Custom PCs

Slim form-factor towers are sexy. Although the one shown above has quite a bit of weight around the hips, lols. The specs are awesome and it'd be great for SLI, but then the power supply would need to be upgraded. Luciel, are you sure it's a good idea to go with Quad Core yet? Last time I checked, it only outperformed it's Dual Core cousins very slightly. It may be better to wait until they perfect the technology.

That´s a good point Hunter, while the q6600 is nearly beaten by some dual cores, it´s by far the most overclockable, for example, it comes with stock 2.4Ghz, yet it´s easily put to 3.0 without much heat increase, specially with a after-market heatsink like the asus triton 75, plus it really is marketting, it´s cheap now a days and it sounds good, plus it´s insurance for the future after all, with you guys i share these details, but these are systems that are for selling you know?.

About the case, while it is mini factor, it´s not a barebone or does it require specific parts, like integrated mobo or small psu, it takes any micro-atx mobo, and there´s loads of them, unfortunately, i haven´t found any micro-atx with SLI mobos so that wouldn´t be an option : (

About the collor, mallic, i kind of like it, while it is a bit heavy on the eyes, it´s certainly different, and after all i have to try new stuff all the time, that´s whats it about, i assume that some will like it and some won´t, thanks for the feedback aniway : )

PS: Mallic, what colour / scheme would you like? i´m looking for ideas for my next one, obviously not just you, any suggestions are welcomed!

I'm not Hunter.

Anyway, how far can you push a slim form-factor computer? Not many things fit, but I wonder how much you could fit. By slim, I mean like this:

If you had to build something like that, what would you try to put in it? Realistically, what really can be put in it? Also, have you ever built a slim form-factor PC like the one shown above?

Sorry for all the questions. Curiosity can be a curse sometimes.

Holy shit that IS really small! It's good that companies are producing smaller motherboards and ATI does have some good entry level cards small enough to fit in slim form-factor computers. Small, thin cases like that attract me because it's just cute, and useful as I will be going to college in a year and want something I can fit in a tiny desk in a tiny apartment/dorm. I'll see how it all plays out.

To Mallic: You're pretty much right. Out of all the customization websites I've been too, the most I've been able to slam into those things were average entry level graphics cards (like the ATI Radeon 2400).

There ARE some slim form-factor computers Acer created that have excellent starter specs, and are surprisingly a little expandable:

For the above two choices, one could really just pop in a high-end but single slot card and be set nicely. The only issue is that there isn't any details on power supply, which can be a problem.
