Slim form-factor towers are sexy. Although the one shown above has quite a bit of weight around the hips, lols. The specs are awesome and it'd be great for SLI, but then the power supply would need to be upgraded. Luciel, are you sure it's a good idea to go with Quad Core yet? Last time I checked, it only outperformed it's Dual Core cousins very slightly. It may be better to wait until they perfect the technology.

Thatīs a good point Hunter, while the q6600 is nearly beaten by some dual cores, itīs by far the most overclockable, for example, it comes with stock 2.4Ghz, yet itīs easily put to 3.0 without much heat increase, specially with a after-market heatsink like the asus triton 75, plus it really is marketting, itīs cheap now a days and it sounds good, plus itīs insurance for the future after all, with you guys i share these details, but these are systems that are for selling you know?.

About the case, while it is mini factor, itīs not a barebone or does it require specific parts, like integrated mobo or small psu, it takes any micro-atx mobo, and thereīs loads of them, unfortunately, i havenīt found any micro-atx with SLI mobos so that wouldnīt be an option : (

About the collor, mallic, i kind of like it, while it is a bit heavy on the eyes, itīs certainly different, and after all i have to try new stuff all the time, thatīs whats it about, i assume that some will like it and some wonīt, thanks for the feedback aniway : )

PS: Mallic, what colour / scheme would you like? iīm looking for ideas for my next one, obviously not just you, any suggestions are welcomed!

Yes that would look good in it, itīs also has a couple of 0s in the price figure which would, unnecesarily boost the price up.

And Mallic,

I think chrome and black would be even harder on the eyes no?

I'm not Hunter. sad.gif

Anyway, how far can you push a slim form-factor computer? Not many things fit, but I wonder how much you could fit. By slim, I mean like this:

http://www.dell.com/content/products/produ...s=19&l=en&s=dhs

If you had to build something like that, what would you try to put in it? Realistically, what really can be put in it? Also, have you ever built a slim form-factor PC like the one shown above?

Sorry for all the questions. Curiosity can be a curse sometimes.

@Mallic: Could it be the Antec P190???

@Security: sorry mate, quotation error tongue.gif

In a slim desktop like the one from dell basically youīd have to use laptop parts, and the limitations that come with them, on my one, well theoretically you could put a 9800GX2 which is dual GPU, therefore SLI, but those cards give a looooot of heat, and since this case is aluminium and plastic, well... it wouldnīt cope to well since it only has one exit fan, i think the spec i said is as far as iīd go with this kind of tower mate.

And yeah, the smallest PC iīve built is the Artigo:

http://secure.neonit.net/product_info.php?...products_id=362

You can get an idea of the size just by looking at the usb ports.

On normal sizes well... this is provably the smallest as itīs as small as you get without having to use specific parts or laptop parts which elevate the price A LOT.

On a side note, iīm currently working on a steam-punk-victorian-like PC, itīs hard to explain but iīm using laptop parts, iīll show it once itīs finished.

And no problem mate, ask all you want, itīs not bother to me : )

Okay I really can't relate with computers, but I can suggest some color schemes.

Go for Red and Gold, like Iron Man... love that combo.
Or, change it around, maybe Blue and Gold? Gold doesn't have to be gold, maybe a darkish or brownish yellow but don't make it too dark.
Hmm, as a symbol for "JUST DO IT" for me, try Yellow and Black as well. I don't know why but yeah...

I couldn't find any gold highlights for the text so I used yellow. smile.gif

Hmmm, what else is there..? Maybe, Purple and Pink for the ladies. Haha! Just kidding. XD

Holy shit that IS really small! It's good that companies are producing smaller motherboards and ATI does have some good entry level cards small enough to fit in slim form-factor computers. Small, thin cases like that attract me because it's just cute, and useful as I will be going to college in a year and want something I can fit in a tiny desk in a tiny apartment/dorm. I'll see how it all plays out.

To Mallic: You're pretty much right. Out of all the customization websites I've been too, the most I've been able to slam into those things were average entry level graphics cards (like the ATI Radeon 2400).

There ARE some slim form-factor computers Acer created that have excellent starter specs, and are surprisingly a little expandable:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1215818939611

- AMD Phenom Triple Core Processor
- 4 GB of DDR2 RAM
- 640 GB of Hard Drive Memory (7200 rpm)
- Integrated GeForce 8200 Card /w one PCI-Express Slot for upgrade

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1212192194910

- AMD Athlon 64 Processor
- 4 GB of DDR2 RAM expandable to 8 GB
- 320 GB of Hard Drive Memory (7200 rpm)
- Integrated GeForce 8200 Card /w one PCI-Express Slot for upgrade

For the above two choices, one could really just pop in a high-end but single slot card and be set nicely. The only issue is that there isn't any details on power supply, which can be a problem.
