Do i "HAVE" to connect both of them white socket things at the other end?

I have done so far but that meant taking one out of my CD drive. Would just like to know so i could get my cd drive working or do i need a new PSU?

you can buy Y-splitters to split the power cable coming from your supply. That should save you the money on a new supply and will let you use your cd drive

Need some help quick.

My system right now...

Nvidia 9600 GT 512mb GDDR3
Amd 2.2ghz Dual core
2gb RAM

Now my Gcard has 728 shared memory, and in some games i get really reduced FPS (meaning in WoW in a main city i go down to 20). Would this be fixed by buying 2 more gigabites of RAM? Becuase then i wouldnt only have around 1.2gb when a game is running id have 3.2gb. Please help me!

Hmm i am playing with x8 AA AF and with the new shadow effects on too. Ordinary res 1280 x 1024 and it only goes down to 25ish in Dalaran were it's most demanding. Just seems abit ridiculous how i got 180 FPS max settings 16x AA AF on left 4 dead everywhere but alot lot lower in WoW. Mallic you always somehow enlighten me! work your magic smile.gif

Edit: I think my PSU is lacking at 450 Watts. Gonna upgrade to a 650, it's only £15 on Ebay smile.gif

that is the only thing I can think of as well. It could also be lag that is throwing off the fps count. Try cleaning up your system a bit. Control what programs run at start that way you have more memory to use for the game while you play. Keep as few programs as possible up while playing.

On the other hand, as far as I know left for dead requires harsher specs (hl2 specs) to play, so none of that should matter. Your issue is one of two things. 1. you need to get newest drivers (as hunter said) or 2. your gcard drivers/card are incompatible with WoW. Number two is a freak occurance and usually does not get documented by most people, so if that is the case contact the shop you bought it from and get a trade in.

Also, the bigger power supply MAY help out with the problem. If you have a lot of stuff on a smaller ps, the devices do not get even power which can cause them to behave erratically.

Thanks for the help trying the new drivers etc now. I think it may be a low PSU to the GCard issue, but im not sure as it runs any source game max settings brilliantly. I'm buying a new PSU and 2 more GB or RAM if this dosnt fix it, blizzard are about to get pooned.

I wouldn't go splashing the cash before trying all the possibilities first!
