I had an idea about this game...
I hope they give the zombies a dragging ability, like when you're down. Like, when you're downed by the zombies, one of them can drag you out of that place and bring you to your death. The dragging process will be even faster when more zombies help. Also, when you're in a corner, you're always nearly untouchable. Not if the zombies know how to drag you out!!!! When you're fending them off, there'll be a high probability for a zombie to drag you out of the corner. Like, they'll be invulnerable to bullets for a time while they're dragging you out.... it'll really make you think twice to fight in corners. Psh, even my friends love to fight in corners. So ghei. They should also give this ability to bosses... Another suggestion I thought up off right now is the ability to barricade! For example, after you reach a particular point in a scenario, you'll have to barricade yourself for a time and protect your place as long as possible until you're able to move out of there. If they just make barricading a normal thing then it'll be a mess... it should be a particular mode. You'll be given a time period in which you have to cover as much of the fortress as possible, then once your done, you'll see the defense points on your barricade. Then, the fight begins! You musn't let the particular place be breached... once it is, then it'll just be harder for you to live. One more suggestion is that there should be other living people that can help you temporarily... but that wouldn't be too much "left for dead" isn't it? -------------------- Current game(s): Uh uh not updatin' this no mo

YUCK! I think barricades are too over done. There is actually already a barricade addon done for L4D1. This quickly turns L4D into Zombie Panic source, a game I have NO feelings for. All survivors do is find the closest room with objects zombies can't move and then block all entryways, so the zombies have no real chance of fair play and cannot reach the survivors. The drag thought is good though.. don't see why they don't give it to the charger.. he could slam you down and drag you into a group of zombies. Hmm.. yeah I guess, that'd be over-kill. And I forgot, you're pretty alone when you're corner-fighting.
So is the barricade mode that bad? I think it's ok, much like a mini-game. But yeah, I guess it won't be too L4D now. I also got a few boss ideas.... The Spitter- just a very quick thought as a zombie boss.... he/she's able to spit from far distances and can cause you to slow down or suffer from poison that'll eventually make you crash down the ground. This zombie won't be an instant-crippler, much like the boomer. It also has a zoom-in sight, makes it easier for the zombie to view the target. Skills: -Spits venom from a far distance that slows you down, and in some instances, poisons you. -Zoom-in sight for better aiming How will you know if he's/she's around? -He only lets out one cry, unlike other bosses whom let out cries when nearby. His theme cues when you're fighting him. He's got some good HP. Best ways to kill him? Make yourself harder to aim, and don't ever get touched by the spit for it'll just make you way more vulnerable. Clothing/Appearance: Since I decided that this boss be a female, she will be one... I still have a vague idea of how she would really look like, however. A lab coat? Since she was affected by the chemicals of her work when the zombie outbreak happened? =============================================== The Destroyer(working name) - One day I was just pondering about how clever the Witch idea was.... so this turned up. This boss behaves similarly to the Witch; if its bothered, it'll wreak havoc!!!!!!!! Only this time, this boss really hates zombies. If zombies are trying to attack you, the Destroyer will fend them off to try to get to you. He's also impervious to bullets unless you shoot his helmet off his face. A few good shots in the face will get this boss killed. This boss is able to grab you and choke you to death until you're down. You can't use guns while being choked; that's your partner's job. Unlike the witch, this boss will try to down every single person. Also, explosives or incineration bullets aren't effective against him, for his suit is very special. Skills: -Choking grab -Zombie throw(crowd clearer/long-ranged attack also) -Charge attack How will you know if he's around? Like the witch, music will cue if he's close. He breathes loudly through his mask, so it's easy to tell him apart. Once you're nearby him, don't get too close or shoot him... If you leave him alone, he'll just look at you menacingly. He won't be dangerous at all if you don't mess with him. If zombies get too close to him however, he will be provoked and will be forced to fight... Best ways to kill him? Take out his helmet as soon as he gets bothered. He's not as strong as the tank, and he's not as deadly as the witch, but he is very destructive. Avoid when he throws zombies at you, for it can stun you a bit or down you when you're low in HP. Clothing/Appearance: His attire will be very similar to the T-103 tyrant from RE... same type of trenchcoat, darker grey color. Wears a dark gasmask, eyes can't be revealed at all. Wears some crazy heavy boots, and either metal(look at the T-103 picture I posted) or normal gloves. Ok, so, there's probably more suggestions to come. Critique me if you like, these are very rushed since I wanted to just put them in here so I won't forget. I'll edit them if need be. Hmm, yeah... a sniping spit that can attract a not-too-big horde. But what I'm trying to show is that this zombie is dangerous by him/herself. And I think this boss should be female since there's not enough female bosses in this game.
Her one single cry however, can call out a decent horde. She can also spit very rapidly.... so if a human-controlled spitter is good, you're pretty much dead. Also, if you're controlling the particular spitter, you have to let out a cry first before you start spitting. As the spit damage stacks, you get slower and slower or get poisoned, and it'll eventually down you. On other terms, this is how I visualized the Destroyer: ![]() But the Destroyer has a helmet... preferably a gasmask. Now, I can't really think of another good boss... Wow!!!!!!! Wasn't expecting this. That's what I kind of pictured... should be bigger and buffer and ... now I pictured him having a blowtorch helmet. Now, another thing about the Destroyer; he'll tend to walk at a random path... so if he walks toward you, don't get surprised. Just step out of his way. If you stay too close to him, he'll be so effin' mad and get destructive!!!! Also, too many zombies stay near him, he'll also be forced to fight. Yes, the Destroyer is very fragile.... If you make his helmet spark enough, he'll stop attacking for a few moments. Now if you shoot his helmet off completely, that's when he gets more aggressive... yes, he'll be crazier than the witch, but no he won't be as strong as the tank. Hmm... and what if, he also hates Tanks..? Like, if he's in the same spot as where the Tank will be attacking, you can use him as a weapon against the Tank. He'll either win or lose... higher chance of losing. Crazy new L4D2 news!!! There's already a spitter boss in the making, and it's a female!!! Damn, they must've read this thread!!! Only difference though(I read it in wiki) is that this spitter has an AOE attack, unlike my idea, which is spitting on one single person only. The area the spitter spat on will be poisonous, so those who stand on it will lose health. This is a good counter to corner-fighting I must say, but I still hope they do the dragging idea I had!!!!!! They can kill the spitter and it'll be easy for them again to corner-fight
I'm still wanting my Destroyer idea to come true.... I think it'll be fun ingame to have two bosses that you shouldn't mess with(unless you want to). I've also thought that the Destroyer can be used to your advantage, but it's a risk you're willing to take. It can do the dirty work of destroying all the zombies, and if you're attacked by a Tank while avoiding a Destroyer, you can provoke it so it can fight the Tank for ya. Also, in some cases, the Destroyer will be very hard to see, as he sometimes can blend in the environment. His breathing however, can still be used as a warning if he's around, and plus the music too. -------------------- Current game(s): Uh uh not updatin' this no mo

I had an idea too, how about a flying baby zombie that crap bricks. *sarcastic laughter* lol , I was just messing around. Anyway, do you think some people are willing to buy almost an exact replica of L4D? Well... for me, I don't mind, but to some, I don't think some people doesn't seem to be interested, probably because L4D didn't last a month in some gamers or probably their too busy getting mad at valve for charging the game that has a highly noticeable resemblance. I don't know which. I think L4D2 is more like a survivor-ly thing since L4D2 has lesser ammo given to maximize melee capabilities, not to mention they probably added some more drugs/medicines in it besides "GRABBIN PILLS!" I think they will still be playable(hopefully dang it) or else this game will suck a little bit.
As for me, I don't really mind them making a 2nd game so quickly... jeez, sometimes the game developers don't feel like patching it. It's in their own discretion to patch L4D how they want it.
