What is this file? because in windows task manager I have 12 of them running.

However after research I was told they would be in caps if it were a virus. Is this normal?

As far as I know, it's normal. I thought they were viruses until I checked them out. I wouldn't worry.

They tend to be infected by viruses and turn it into something bad. This happened to me before... I deleted them and it messed my PC up like crazy.

Just don't get them infected, or you'll be forced to delete them. The only solution as far as I know for that is to re-install windows and de-infect your PC.

svchost.exe is most definately safe but is highly likely to get infected by a trojan, look out for capitals or sneaky renames such as svohost.exe.
