heya guys, anything anyone knotice with PE and STEAM, i just installed it with it... worked fine to my suprise

only thing i noticed, and this is with HL DM too is that jump height seemed to be much lower, but i have been away from normal HL so long my memory of the old jump height my be tainted by the recent "super man like jump heights" in most the other games ive been playing latley. i may have to install normal HL again to test it.

hm, how does pe work with steam ?
there was a thread once, but i dont find it anymore

hm.. i could get my other mods from won to steam, but that was done when installing steam. any way to get new mods to steam, when it's installed?

hm.. won servers really offline in a few weeks? hm.. i like steam, very much, because if you want to change the controls for example, you can in-game change it, and dont have to wait until youre in the old half-life menu.. but steam didnt work with counter-strike for me... it worked, but bad (out of 40 tries i can connect to a server and play on it, without getting disconnect..). if steam works, great.. i hope all the won servers change to steam, because there are many more won than steam servers..

Recoilmaster, where is the server located? if it would be an american server, and alien could get a german server up, that would be great.

ahh, you just have to start hl with steam, so u get a hl folder in steamapps/email/

after that you install pe in the folder and it works ^^

There is one problem with steam which up to around 33% of all ppl that have steam have.

The problem is that it just doesn't work.

When you click the steam icon on ur desktop it doesn't open.

If u press alt+ctrl+delete it shows that steam is using up to 50 or more of ur CPU usage and steam still won't do anything. it just puts one of those error messages u send to microsoft.

The reason i wrote that is because me and my friend would have put up 24/7 servers for public enemy put!!! it doesn't work. If the problem has anything to do with windows xp professional please tell me then ill use my old computer which it is on the point of blowing up infornt of my face.
i would put it up on the normal half-life engine but its going off soon.

And last the useless staff of Vavle havn't done anything about the problem, In their forum they have had about 500 people send a reply about that problem.
