If you get the error:
"Your .dll [cl_dllsclient.dll] differs from the server's."
and thus can't join any server please post the name of the mirror where you downloaded Public-Enemy v1.4 in the news comments or in the forum. One of our mirrors seems to have a wrong version.

We'd be glad if someone could set up a Public-Enemy v1.4 server in the USA, UK or Sweden. We only have access to German servers which give very bad pings to players from the countries mentioned above.
You can contact us any time if you have questions regarding server configuration or anything else related to our MOD.

The update to version 1.4 of Public-Enemy is done since yesterday and uploaded to our ftp server, it's a question of time until all the mirrors got the file.

After a very long break we decided to make another patch for Public-Enemy. Public-Enemy is therefore no longer a beta version and will be released as version 1.4 (to avoid version number conflicts).
If we encounter no more problems I'll upload the patch tomorrow and send it to the mirrors.
We heavily improved Public-Enemy in terms of graphics and gameplay and we also killed a few critical bugs. Klick here for a preview picture.

It's been a long time now since my last news. But now I've got some interesting information for you.
We are now working on our new project. The design document is written and at the moment we're working mainly on the game world.
In order to develop the game we use the open-source engine Crystal Space 3D, which is the most suitable engine for our plans.
Soon I'll be able to tell you more about our project. So stay tuned!

Since the release of Public-Enemy Beta 1.2 many things changed inside the (core-)team. Because of this we would like to tell you about or plans for the future and also inform you how the development of Public Enemy will go on.
Last sunday MadMaxFMM, Spin, Scotty and I had a long discussion over our general plans, but most of all over our plans in the game design business.
We've decided in this discussion, that we will further on Public Enemy, but we will reduce the development strongly. We will release bugfixes and probably we will also implement new maps and features - but more unfortunately not. The main reason for this decision was, that only a few players play it although we got very good feedback. In addition we don't think that Public Enemy will be more popular than it is now, also therefore not, that the aging HL1-Engine soon will be replaced by the HL2-Engine.
Likewise we discussed our next project at this meeting - But in addition we will express ourselves about this later.
