Becuase Im too lazy to read any topics ill just post what I said on another forum

I played this till I was about level 34. And while it is fun, its terribly buggy and the crashes every 15 minutes are annoying. I don't think ill be playing this much more until the games less glitchy and more developed.

A few bugs/'features' that pissed me off:

Blood- The 'umbrella' of blood is crap, Its ok but its overboard and its just in the way when im trying to mass kill zombies. If it was made smaller perhaps, then it would be better.

Invisble AI?! Sometimes, mostly grunts, the AI decides to be invisble so you are getting hit or shot at and you cant see it so you have to shoot all around you till you see blood pouring out of nothing.

The shotgun- Nomatter how much skill you have zombies always always take two hits to kill, even with 34 points into your attack. The firstshot blows off a chunk then the second one will insta gib. Its like the zombies need at least a certain amount of damage before a piece falls off THEN it can be killed. I want to be able to send a zombie into space if I put all my points into skill. The only way I can almost do this is with the sawn-off but its not effective for mass killage.

Spawn Camping- Most people playing just sit at the spawn firing upon the hoardes of zombies. Some maps are pretty big with lots to explore including hidden special weapons.

Zombie mode- While this is fun to be able to maul your comrades a few times, Its too easy to die, you can't get close enough to actually try and attack them. You need a massive health boost so you can survive more than 3 bullets. Oh also If your a zombie 75% of the time youll spawn in an AI zombie, leaving you stuck and you have to kill yourself, OR an AI zombie spawns ontop of you so you get gibbed.
I do have to admit though when 5/7 people turn into zombies its a hilarious frenzy of zombies bouncing around in the spawn trying to attack the few survivors.

I would call this mod still a beta, it needs alot more work/bugfixing/tweaking but it shows good potential for a decent frenzy, action filled mod.

You're confusing me. Is it "crap", "ok" or "overboard"? Anyways, I don't feel hindered by it, but I can imagine that some people might find it confusing, so maybe a client side variable to turn it off would be nice.

I haven't encountered this bug myself, but there seems to be a client side sollution here.

Unless you played singleplayer with the lowest difficulty, it's not really a bug.
34 points in skill increase your damage by 170%. This means your weapon does somewhat less of 3 times the normal damage, however on max difficulty the zombies will have more than 3 times their usual health. Now consider that you're playing with about 10 other people: If everyone could insta gib a zombie with a benelli they could wipe out a full force of 70 zombies without a single reload. Also I do think it's possible to kill a max difficulty zombie in one blast to the head, but you'll have to get really close.

Well, besides the problem of HL1 bad melee combat behaviour, the zombies are ok. Consider that a zombie player runs about twice as fast, can spot players trough walls, has NPC allies anywhere and is NOT punished (unlike the survivors) for dying. I don't consider something that can charge through a barrier of 2 marines and 3 survivors almost unharmed underpowered. When all the survivors hide on unreachable places they can't solve the mission objectives and you're always free to kill marines and become a survivor again.

Crashes mainly result from people asking more from their servers than they are capable of handling, like so many of the 32 slot listen servers. I made a 3 slot listen server with my DSL (1024/128) and it didn't crash once for the whole 2 hours I played. The worst thing that happened was a 10 second lag.

Agreed, the blood rules.. But maybe they should add a gore level option for people that don't like it.

I like the gore and bloody mess tongue.gif but when u shoot a zombie in the head and it dies its like a blood fountain and i think that should be fixed to where about were the blood instead of shooting out of the head splatteres all over his body or the ground. smile.gif

Thanks for answering posts for me @Nekrotzar wink.gif I have few spare time so I really appreciate someone who knows the stuff and answers other users posts.

some open points:
- We will most probably add a variable for the blood amount and default it to a lower value.

- Playerzombie hp won't be increased as we can't make zombies too attractive to play.

- What's your suggestion to prevent spawncamping? You can play every mod the lame way wink.gif
