Hi

I'm not a modeller myself so I'm not even going to try to make low-poly models, but I would definitely love it if someone made low-poly versions of the player and zombie models. I know my computer's not the best one out there but I think people could get higher fps with less epolys. I looked at the r_speeds in some places and noticed that sometimes there can be tens of thousands of epolys on the screen at once when there's a lot of action.

I personally don't mind looking at blocky zombies as long as the game runs smoothly so if someone makes a low-poly model pack, don't hesitate when reducing the polycount!

um nobody want low-poly models {maybe you} but i don't. I want my models looking good. happy.gif

The Playermodels are not that high polys (around 1200), but the w&p weapon models are due to lack of time the v_versions. I think about redoing them with a lot less polys

Yeah, the weapons look quite high-poly. Any improvement is good when you've got 50000 epolys on the screen.

And Grey Snake, if you like the current models, you wouldn't have to use the low-poly ones. I'm not asking people to reduce the polycount of the default models, I'm just asking for an alternative that people with slower computers could use.
