it would be logical.

but then again it wouldnt be any more fun since there would be no way in hell anymore that walking zombies could overrun a barricade. thats the fun thing about it now, save for the spawn, if you dont help defend it it will get overrun.

yeh.

Then it would be possible to get a helluvah lotta points by camping at the respawn with the guns.

No fun for the players who didn't get to the machine guns.
The zombies wouldn't have a chance.


BUT SAY


It takes a weapon skill of 10...
And ammo... that you'd have to find....

Then maybe it would be cool.

This would equal out the skills alittle, and it would make it so that you can't sit there and camp,
because you have to find ammo in different places on the map.

(it would also be cooler if you incorporated my strength thing, so that you could carry more ammo for it, as your strength level went up)



BTW.

What mod is that?

would be cool if you could bericade your self in a house or in a shop and put wood on the windows and doors,but they dont last long sop the zombie will have a chance

if the guns took skill level 10 then the first guy to reach that would be on them, meaning other players would have to move from the spawn to get enough skill, meaning they will be killed easyer.

it just wouldnt work out...

and about boarding up houses and setting defences.. well.. just mybae when BB ever goes source. but not in hl1 im afraid smile.gif

If you have played the RE minigame for svencoop map, you could move the funiature and whatnot to make a baricade. Just an idea for you to think over because it is somewhat possilbe.

I think so too but ive never seen it in a mod so im not sure, and the protect and serve mod is dead as far as I know so I never tried it. IT would be very cool tho.

it would cost extra models for boards, which would be a weapon, which means we'll have to lose another gun. now its a very cool thing so i wouldnt mind, BUT.

the zombies would never get through.

and its kinda unfun when that happens. because youll be safe forever and ever and ever...

You'd only have to make the boards hostile to the zombies, so the zombies attack them, just like snarks in HL1. The bigger problem would be to prevent ppl from abusing the boards, which I fear is somewhat impossible with HL1 limitations... sad.gif
