I dont understand what this means, I appearntly have protocol 38. Ive been searching the forums for an answer, but there is nothing posted about it. How do I obtain Protocol 47??

The problem he's talking about has to do with firewalls. You need to learn how to set up your firewall properly zelggunsNT.

w00t, if you have nothing constructive to post at all, would you please refrain from spamming. There is enough already without spam as blatent as that. @ZelggunsNT: I think it would behoove you to post internet and network hardware and information if you want to have a better shot at someone being able to assist you. @ZelggunsNT I'm sure it's something to do with your client? Have you tried using other resources such as google? -------------------- This is what Ive said for the past couple months every time has requested source: BB source is highly unlikely because the mod team (Ironoak) has decided to use the crystal engine to create an rpg, although they have said there is a small chance of going to source but please, for the sake of all mankind, do not request a port and/or create polls, or even useless threads about the porting of BB, because it is most likely not going to happen, thank you for reading.

ok ok ok ok, I obviously didnt explain enough. I dont know if your supposed to use Steam with Brain Bread of just Half Life, but Ive been using Half Life because I dont know how to run it through Steam.
When I choose a Server on Brain Bread, a message pops up telling me "You have the wrong protocol". I dont even know what a Protocol is. Do I need to update Half Life? If so, How? Do I need to learn how to run Brain Bread through Steam? Is there a Brain Bread update?? |

You have to run Brain Bread version 1.2 on STEAM (the WON network is long since dead). Run half-life on STEAM once, then install Brain Bread into the STEAM Half Life folder.

I think the people new to this fourm is more people to this forum. If I cant help them some one can.that is what I like about the mods here.If I sound stupid for posting something. Why doesnt anyone know how to run halflife, theres tons of people that keep asking the same question like is bb a hl1 mod, do i ahve to pay read the faq.

Yeah are these people new to computers all together because installing software and running steam are very easy and can be figures out with the logic of an 8 year old.....It took me like a week to figure out how to install stuff and that was when I have windows 95 when I was like well about maybe 7 or 8.....I loved it back then...sit on the computer and play Doom and Doom2....ahh so fun....DOS ownzorz
