This is ridiculous..
First i downloaded this client 1.2
when i try to install it it isnt doing anything.. when i try to run the installer from the command line its saying i have to less memory (512MB Should be enough!!)
Then i downloaded the server pack (this zip file)
i unzipped it into my \SteamApps\mym@iladress.at\half-life\ folder and when i try to run it from steam its telling me something about it cant load the client.dll! But its there and i have access rights!

Such a nasty thing...
Can someone tell me what to do?

The memory thing could be a couple things I can think of...has your computer been on a real long time and have you opened tons of stuff to use up system resources? ifso then just restart or it could be lack of harddisk memory...delete crap off of it...

umm the client.dll I dunno....Have you ran Half-Life at least once? and are you sure you installed it in the right directory?

no.. even when i restart it and dont do anything else then trying to run that its the same...
and its nothing with the harddisk i still have 25GB free...

I ran half life once and it still dont work. i restarted steam too.. the directory is the same like every hl mod.

C:\Programme\SIERRA\steam\SteamApps\renesnajder@aon.at\half-life\brainbread\

I think maybe your installer was corrupt ...I sent you it in a rar file cuz my email doesnt allow .dll or .exe so just unrar it and put in the folder I said in the email

Damn... i think i read somewhere something about a complete steam uninstall, and then a fresh hl installation... but i dont want to do this!

yeah, thats probably your last resort, to completely uninstall steam,half life etc :S a bitch as it may be...but try uninstallin brainbread and download a new 1.2 from another source

Never tried the server install, just the client.
I got enough hd space and currently exactly 294meg free ram.
