OK, I read over Immoral's list of things not to suggest two or three times and tried a few variant searches using the forum's search feature so I could do my best to avoid making an ass of myself, and here goes.

1) Player zombies. Why not, if possible--perhaps it isn't, if so, I apologize profusely for my idiot suggestion wink.gif--make player zombies unable to jump or run? I know it would be sort of annoying (I seem to recall it being kind of bothersome in..oh yeah, some zombie-based mini-mod for UT) but that would add greater incentive to avoiding becoming a zombie, in addition to sort of affirming the atmosphere of old school, non DotD remake, non 28DL, non RotLD style zombies.

Yea? Nay?

First thing that stuck out to my friends and myself upon playing a couple of rounds, being zombie freaks and all. Naturally, just a suggestion.

If I somehow missed this having been posted, I apologize for that too, but as I said, I made my best effort to guarantee I had NOT done that.

Meh... Im unsure on this one... Its kind of out of place to see zombies running towards you at high speed... But...

The zombies would be EASY targets... Hell all it takes is one double shot with the Double barrel shotgun to take them down (usually.)

The speed adds a sense of 'fun' to the game if you ask me, and doesnt make player zombies so easy targets.

yeah...also, yah could make the player zombies blend in a lil more wid the AI zombies, so when a zombie suddenly charges at ya, ur not expecting it.

yeah,make their names not appear when you point at them,and their dont show u as zombies on the score board...then maybe /w the topic starters suggestion,make em slow,not jump ectra...it would be more scary,you wouldent know they where their and bam tongue.gif also why when your turned,you dont get the zombie Model of the model you choose for humans? it would only seem logical

Exactly the flak I was going to use laugh.gif

And also, if player zombies can not move fast, it would get rather boring if you had a bad spawn, plus it would mean that the speed upgrade would no longer affect you.

Walking instead of running will help you blend in more, but right now the player zombies main strength lies in quick, powerful strikes. Besides, some high level survivors can outrun lower level zombies already. wink.gif

ok, i think the default should be that they move slow and blend in more, BUT, when they are close to someone, they press the SHIFT key on the keyboard and that gives them a burst of speed, dont know if that can be pulled off our not, also, them constantly running is very unnatural, cause i agree with George Romero, ZOMBIES MOVE SLOW! also jumping? when i saw that i was like, what the f***? i couldnt belive that i was seeing zombies running and jumping, this is why, zombies bodies are so rotted that if they tried running, they would fall apart, also jumping would cause there legs to break off, thats why i dont like it that they have a speed advantage, i have had 12 speed and n00bs with only 0 speed can outrun me, which makes me sometimes want to get rid of BB.

Blending in does NOT help, as zombies get indescriminately blown away and people would make sure to take down all standing zombies befre.

well it just seems odd that the normal zombies move slow but player zombies move faster then a chiuaua after it drank too much tabasco sauce.

Yeah I'm all for realist in a realist game but do you wantto make it so if you shoot a player zombie in the head it can only see half the screen and you can shoot off players arms? well any way you could camp on a car and kill zombie player left right an center blink.gif

I can definitely understand the bad spawn point worries--that's exactly why I said it might get annoying smile.gif

I dunno. Part of this was based on reading the FAQ wherein it was said that on some (many?) servers it was 'understood' not to kill player zombies, or something to that effect. Maybe that's not as widespread as I think...I just play LAN anyway. We tend to play by those 'rules.'

Still..what about no-jumping? Kind of a compromise. Avoids the risk of boredom and ridiculously easy targets (who likes bunny hoppers anyway?) yet maintains some of the feel.

Just throwin' stuff out there. The jumping is really the part that feels most unnatural, now that I think about it.

Erm, you know in the movies zombies can't run or jump- don't give me exceptions cuz i can't be botherd listning to them i'm talking about the majority, and if any ****tard starts talking about DOTD remake then i will blow them away with a double barrel coach gun from quake. This is what Ive said for the past couple months every time has requested source: BB source is highly unlikely because the mod team (Ironoak) has decided to use the crystal engine to create an rpg, although they have said there is a small chance of going to source but please, for the sake of all mankind, do not request a port and/or create polls, or even useless threads about the porting of BB, because it is most likely not going to happen, thank you for reading.
