Ah, so these zombies are smarter and more mobile than your average gimp-legged undead moron. Well, at least some of them.
I read this comic once called "Remains". In it, the dead had taken over the world completely. And then they started eating each other - the fresh, strong dead attacking the older more decomposed ones. As they fed they grew stronger and smarter. They started to talk, then open doors, use tools, even drove cars. There was an undead "king" - the strongest one, the first to start eating other dead. What the zombies really wanted though was the humans who hid on the rooftops and in the sealed off buildings...
