Dude, that is kickass. I can't help the feeling that I really am reading a real newspaper. One suggestion tho, is that you should have authors to the articles. nothing personal, just make up some names. I think that would make it look more official

Riot in Downtown

The growing tension in the town erupted in a violent riot in the downtown area of Heavensgate, yesterday. Seemingly without cause, crowds of people attacked each other, causing mass destruction to both property and people. Police are struggling to maintain order in the area still, and there are continued reports of lethal combat taking place in the streets.

According to eye witnesses, the riot was started by a group of local people, who attacked apparently random bystanders. Several people tried to stop the attackers, but were overwhelmed by the group of around thirty assailants. Unexplainable reports that the victims of the attackers joined them in assaulting others, and that the attackers appeared to be either severely ill or impossibly injured have been discredited by city officials. "We cannot place any value in insane reports such as these - they will simply cause more panic. The important thing is to stay calm." says Peter Hainstrom, a member of the city council.

Throughout the area, similar acts of violence were occuring; in at least three different locations, almost identical scenes were taking place. Police were scrambled to deal with the situations but order was completely destroyed when the large numbers of civilians in the area panicked and ran through the streets. The police department has stated that over forty individuals have been arrested and are being held for further examination. Strangely, there have been reports that these people were taken to St. Gabriels hospital rather than the local police station.

Over thirty people are believed to be dead as a result of the riot, and even more injured.

Police Chief Brownston was unavailable for correspondence, but there anonymous reports tell us that the National Guard may be deployed and martial law declared if the situation does not improve.

Local man, Ted Olson, who was at the riot scene, believes the attackers to be responsible for the cannibal murders.
"I saw this guy being jumped by these three others, and they're all real messed up. I thought some homeless people were trying to mug him. Next thing I know this crazy ******* grabs me and bites my hand. This has to be those crazies who've been offing people round town for the last week. Someone oughta stop em".

Good "newspaper" article. I like it very much. But I'd like someone in the articles to actually be "eyewitnesses", (Interwiev) explaining what happened in the riots, (with people trying to eat others.)
Perhaps this is linked to the cannibal murders

the next article will be an interview with police/soldiers/doctors etc involved in the crisis. But I edited it to have an eye witness with a name...
