uhhh... i wouldnt say that publicly, you might want to edit that a little nikku, anyways, zombies are cool cause you can kill them without getting booked on murder charges and i woulnt feel guilty cause there already dead, there bodys are just reanimated thats all, so i wouldnt have a problem shooting one in the head. -------------------- |

Spamming is posting something that doea not add to the thread, mind you the thread may have gotten a bit off of topic, but that's the way the conversation progressed. Another thing is that in order to have to have religion help you cope with the thought or fear of death, you are of a weaker mindset then that of a person who in fact does not need religion to cope with death. Dude i said help cope with death, not eliminate the fear entirely. If you need religion and the afterlife theory to help you cope with death then you have a weak constitution then someone who does not need the the afterlife theory to help cope with death.

your use of the word "cope" is not fitting. Cope suggests you have come to terms. On the contrary, no matter what you believe, you will probably never come to terms fully with death. However afterlife theory allows you to experience a closerness to this coming of terms. If you like fear, anguish, stress and angst, then something is biologically/psychologically wrong there. By the nature of humanity, any means that will seek to quelm these fears is not a sign of weakness, but rather a sign of intellectual adaptation. -------------------- |

cope: come to terms or deal successfully with I deal successfilly with the fact that i will die someday and there will be nothing afterward, I can cope without the help of religion because I know that no matter what happens to my body it's what I do in life that matters and in fact when I die I will not totally dissapear, people remember me and will therefore keep me alive that way. I do not need someone telling me that I will live on after death in order not to fear it. That makes people without the need for religion in order to cope with death the stronger of the two. Though you will probably deny it and I haven't the energy to re-explain it, I can assure you, you will die with considerably more anguish/stress/angst than I or another afterlife theory believe will. This has nothing to do with strength, but rather ability to adapt. Because a person with a broken leg chooses to hop instead of using a crutch, does that make him stronger? No, it just serves to cause him more stress and anguish. The fear of death is our "broken leg", our crutch is afterlife theory, whether you choose to take that crutch is up to you, but ultimately those with the crutch will fair better than those without. -------------------- |
