Are third person reload animations going to be added? And by that, I mean reload animations added to the actual player models so that when you're looking at them while they're reloading, you actually see them play a reload animation from your perspective. Right now you can hear other people reloading, but sometimes it's hard to hear and not always easily noticable. A pratical use for reload animations on the player models would be that you can see if someone needs help fighting off a zombie while they're reloading. Now it looks a bit silly to see someone just aiming their gun right at a zombie not firing, but you really can't tell if they're not shooting because they don't want to or because they're currently reloading.

Also, the reloading animations in BB look very cool. If these were added, I would constantly reload my winchester in front of everyone just to show off how my weapon's spinning, Terminator-like reload animations is cooler than theirs. smile.gif tongue.gif

isnt there already reload animations ? cause sometimes i see the guy look down at his gun and his arm moves a lil around where the ammo is

Nope, not that I can see. I just went through all the animation sequences in the player models and there are no reload animations for the weapons.

have u ever tried type in thirdperson in console and u see side view then shoot couple of rounds then press the reload button u will see it im not crazy

Third Person reload would be pretty cool but would get very annoying after the 100th time.

biggrin.gif LOL Skullky i quit CS for a while and played Americas army for like 1 day lol and got 11 hours lol but yea i thought der was 3rd person reload guess i was wrong after all biggrin.gif

the model of the reload would be nice aswell but its already been said for other things like that, they reached half life engine limits ,add more would make it crash or something

maybe because the mod already pushes the limits of the HL engine so adding anything more could cause it to become more unstable.

I know that BrainBread is pushing a lot of the Half-Life engine's limits, but I don't think extra animations would cause a problem. Models in singleplayer using far, far more animations than multiplayer does, and other multiplayer mods already use reload animations without a hitch (Whether those mods are pushing engine limits or not). Granted, you would be adding one animation to every player model (Not zombie ones) for each weapon they can use, but I still don't think this would be a problem.

Some time soon I'd like to test how reload animations for the player models would look. Since there aren't any reload animations in BB, I guess I can just take some from HL player models for testing purposes.

third person animations would cause more lag on servers then there is already, add animations like that and your gonna have me screaming bloody hell about the lag, think about it, 5 players in the same room of a map and the server is a bit laggy and they all reload about the same time, time, those extra animations with ebough people would lag the server only more.

Wouldn't it be about equal to the animations of five people getting infected? Just wondering
You could basically take it down to some basic reloads.
Winchester + shotguns: 1 by 1 bullet reloads, no *swing around* for winchester ( sad.gif )
All pistols + single Micro Uzi: remove clip, insert new, pull back hammer or something.
All rifles: remove clip, insert new. No pulling levers.
Mp5: Pull out clip just a little and set it back (simulate the double taped clip).
It cool?
EDIT: oh, I forgot the akimbos. Pull out one clip, insert again. Pull out other clip, reinsert. The beretta would do both in a chain, but microuzis would end after one of them.
